Port Captain

Job description / Role

Local company representative to manage Westsea Offshore Vessel Fleet based out of Abu Dhabi office.

- Manage and ensure vessel fleet are maintained to required operational standards at all times.
- Liaison with clients to ensure project deliverables within defined time frame while ensuring safe, efficient and smooth vessel operations.
- Ensure that necessary requisitions, scheduling and logistics for vessel fleet are being planned, tracked and maintained.
- Ensure compliance of vessel and crew documentation, certifications and compliance to company ISM and procedures.
- Ensure compliance of PMS program on-board
- Plan, coordinate and closeout necessary statutory, client and internal inspections and perform internal audits prior.
- Act as emergency shore support, support marine incident investigation and conduct drills.
- Would require occasional sailing on-board company vessels if required.
- All other adhoc duties as requested by head office

Requirements

- Preferably with at least 5-7 years of experience in handling offshore vessels with a Technical background.
- Sailing experience with shore based preferred
- Experience with offshore marine safe practices
- Good communication, both written and spoken
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills
- Able to work well independently as well as in a team
- Analytical, sharp, careful and possess strong numerical ability
- Demonstrate effective problem solving, organizational and management skills
- High Integrity, maturity and operate well under stress
- Excellent computer skills
- Working location: Abu Dhabi
