Porter Manager/Salesman

Job description / Role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Porter Manager/Salesman to join our trading company in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the porters and overseeing the sales activities to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of porters, training, and performance management
- Coordinate and oversee the daily activities of the porters to ensure efficient and timely handling of goods and materials
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed company sales targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the procurement team to ensure adequate stock levels
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of the porter team and provide feedback and coaching for improvement
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to the management team

Salary:
AED 4,000 to 8,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Proven experience in a similar role within the trading industry, preferably in the UAE
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Knowledge of inventory management and logistics processes
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to build and maintain client relationships
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with sales software and CRM systems
