Power Builder Developer - Sybase

MOST IMPORTANT:
• Strong to Expert SQL skills are required, as the system is heavily based on Stored Procedures and Triggers that reside within a Sybase database.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, build and test new applications and enhancements to existing applications for our customers.
• Extend and modify existing production systems to meet new customer requirements.
• Write functional and technical requirements, including supporting models and diagrams, for new applications and modifications to existing applications.
• Communication (written and oral) with internal customers.

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 5 years IT applications, design and development experience.
• Have a minimum of 7 years PowerBuilder (especially version 12) and strong to expert level SQL Server experience.
• Have experience with PowerBuilder Foundation Class Library (PFC).
• Have hands-on experience in Sybase, at least 5 years preferred
• Be proficient in creating SQL objects, writing database scripts, stored procedures, function and triggers.
• Possess sound knowledge in PowerBuilder objects, ex: Window, user objects (visual and nonvisual), data window, data store, etc.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with end users to transform requests into robust solutions.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
