Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The company:

• Clients include various multinational main contractors
• 100+ live project

Main responsibilities:
• Ability to develop structural calculations of projects and develop full 3D models for structural calculation in respect of international and local codes also for complicated building.
• Ability to handle multiple works. He must revise structural engineers work and approve it.
• Ability to decide, alone or in coordination with CE, the best precast system required to develop a project.
• Ability to understand and propose value engineering
• Ability to cooperate with sales and tendering department to study the most efficient precast solution.
• In coordination with Chief Engineer, plan and make sure the execution of the engineering works within the available resources.
• Propose to CE to outsource the engineering work at times of over loaded works.
• Control teams to conduct the engineering work and gauge the efficiency of the human resources.
• Lead the meetings for the ongoing projects (meetings are conducted both in house and / or at the client’s) to make sure of the accuracy of the information being depicted on the production drawings.
• Write letters to the client for follow up, raise the related issues to acquire the accurate information and acquire the due approvals.
• Lead the preparation of the architectural precast general arrangement drawings and then the shop drawing thereafter.

Requirements

To be considered for this position you must be:
• 15+ years’ experience
• Degree qualified
• Good knowledge of Autocad.
• Experience with Etabs, SAP, Concise Beams. Staad Pro, Prokon
• Very skilled and with top experience with international and local codes regarding building in particular ACI 318, ASCE, UBC, BS, PCI Design Handbook and other local rules.
