Principal Mechanical Engineer

Job description / Role

Our client, an industry leading international building services engineering consultancy, requires a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join the MEP Engineering team for their highly successful Dubai office.

The successful individual will manage projects and a small team of multi-disciplined engineers as well being involved in winning both new and repeat business. act as second in command to the Mechanical Director.

This is a very client facing role and as such requires a well presented, confident individual with excellent written and verbal English.

Key responsibilities will include;
• Management of a team of engineers
• Budget & financial management
• Business development of both new & existing clients
• Mentoring & training staff

Requirements

• Be educated to Degree Level in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering or similar
• Have a minimum of between 10-15 years experience in consultancy based mechanical design of buildings
• Have a minimum of 18 - 24 months experience in the GCC, preferably in the UAE
• Have experience of hospitality, high rise residential and commercial projects
• Have previous experience of managing a team
• Have experience of Revit/ BIM
