Printing Operator

Job description / Role

- Acts and behaves in a way that is compliant with company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to Environment, Health and Safety, ethics and codes of conduct.
- Coordinates workload schedules with the Printing Senior Operator to meet clients’ timeframe requirements while achieving optimum productivity.
- Runs printing machines efficiently and safely as per instructions from the Printing Senior Operator.
- Helps prepare, transport and load papers to the printing machine
- Matches printing colors and intensity to the clients’ requirements.
- Shuts down printing presses by removing ink and paper.
- Restocks ink levels and loads the print material or substrate.
- Coordinates with the cleaners to clean the printing machines upon completion of a specific job.
- Notifies the Printing Senior Operator of any setbacks or breakdowns in the printing machines and takes corrective actions accordingly.
- Actively supports continuous improvement activities within the whole of CPF in order to maintain the company’s efficiency and competitiveness.
- Supports 5S and lean principles within the facility.

Requirements

- Minimum of a high school diploma or vocational training in machine printing
- 5 years of experience operating printing machines, preferably in banknote printing

Skills
- Proficient in English
- Knowledgeable of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Knowledgeable of banknote printing raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods
- Must have attention to detail
- Must possess good problem solving skills
