Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Oversee all aspects of getting the materials and services needed by the business’ operations. This often involves dealing directly with suppliers and creating contracts related to transactions.
- Check that everyone involved is following the current policies. Coordinates efforts for maximum efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within and between departments in relation to production schedule.
- Coordinate purchase activities across all departments.
- Responsible for the operation of production planning with main focus on synchronizing order processing, shipping schedule, and inbound / outbound needs of the production.
- Deal with local and foreign suppliers.
- Analyse production requirements in Navision and ensures that the required materials are available and delivered on time.
- Preparation of Purchase Orders and control of the delivery as per production requirement, minimum stocks required, and warehouse space available.
- Establish and monitor safe stock level of items as per production consumption and forecast.
- Acquire quotation from suppliers and negotiate for the best price.
- Recommend substitutes, replacements or equivalents for alternative sourcing and cost reduction of materials.
- Request samples from suppliers and initiate part approval process for alternate and newly developed materials.
- Claim of supplier-related rejections.
- Ensure that ERP stocks are accurate against WMS stocks and actual stocks.
- Post GRN in ERP and zero out invoice-price and quantity discrepancy.
- Schedule and expedite deliveries.
- Track status of requisitions, orders and contracts and keeping those up to date and accurate at all times.
- Make cost-effective recommendations on merchandise to purchase.
- Efficiently compile data and records to draw up purchase orders.
- Maintain price list, reports and purchasing files.
- Verification of items upon arrival to ensure orders has been filled correctly as per specifications.
- Monitor the movement of in-house inventory.
- Liaise with customers in relation to supplies and deliveries.
- Develop daily production plans that effectively manage labour and the achievement of plant efficiency targets.
- Supervision of materials planning activities with demand forecast planning.
- Ensure the end to end process of production and planning completes within set timeframe.
- Maintain ERP system accuracy and transparency.
- Coordinates shipment schedules.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Certification in procurement, production, planning and warehouse management.
- Minimum of 4-5 years relevant experience
- At least 3 years work experience in FMCG/Manufacturing Industry, preferably MNC.
- Proficient in the use of ERP.
- Knowledge in BOM/ MPS/MRP.
- Adept in Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong verbal and written English communication
- Strong negotiation skills
- High level of personal motivation and an ability to work with initiative.
- Ability to focus on key objectives and work within specific time frames.
- Goal oriented and ambitious.
- Must be dynamic and proactive.
