Job description / Role

Job Description:

- Prepares draft contracts ensuring compliance to department requirements, and university and government regulations, policies and procedures
- Ensures that contracts prepared meet the objectives of the requesting department
- Reviews/audits purchasing contracts and related documents, bids, vendor terms, and contracts
- Provides clarification of contract terms when questions arise
- Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Primary interactions:

Internal:

- Finance Department: For payments to maintenance vendors
- Other Departments: Co-ordination for maintenance contracts

External:

- Contractors & Sub contractors: Contract management
- Customs: Coordination for cargo contracts.
- All categories of Vendors.

Knowledge and Technical Skills Required:

- Vendor Management
- Interpersonal skills
- Communication skills

Minimum Qualification:

- Baccalaureate Degree/Higher Diploma in related fields

Preferred Qualification:

- Baccalaureate Degree

Expected Skills/Rank/Experience:

- 0-3 years relevant experience
