Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the procurement process for a main contractor based in the UAE. This includes sourcing and purchasing materials, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services to support construction projects. Candidates must have experience working in an infrastructure company.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's objectives and budget requirements.
- Identify and select reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality products.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize the procurement process.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to determine material needs and specifications for each project.
- Manage the procurement budget and provide regular reports on expenditure and cost savings.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support project timelines.
- Oversee the entire procurement process, from sourcing to delivery, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain a database of suppliers, products, and prices to facilitate efficient decision-making.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new products to continually improve the procurement process.

Salary:
AED 25,000 to 33,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supply chain management.
- Knowledge of UAE laws and regulations related to procurement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
