Employment: Full Time

The position of procurement manager consists of planning, directing, or coordinating the activities of buyers, purchasing officers, and related workers involved in purchasing materials, products, and services.

The main responsibility of a purchasing manager is to search for the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible purchase cost for their employers.

Procurement managers evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, service, availability, reliability, and selection variety.

They examine catalogs, commerce publications and directories in order to find the right suppliers. Reputation is one of the main factors purchasing managers use to determine whether or not they want to work with certain companies. While at meetings, trade shows and conferences they inspect products and services, evaluate production and distribution abilities and consider all other aspects that may influence purchasing decisions.

Tasks:
- Constant generation of ideas to improve inventory turns on purchased materials, with a focus on standardized components;
- Develop a yearly business plan for Purchasing based on operational guidelines and company goals, and review on an ongoing basis;
- Focus on constant improvements to your departments processes and work flow;
- Lead all employees including within the department to achieve individual goals and productivity
- Manage the vendor evaluation process, with an effective vendor evaluation schedule and disciplined follow up of vendor status criteria;
- Negotiate pricing and terms with all vendors, and set guidelines so that the Purchasing team has a clear understanding of purchasing parameters and processes as negotiated;
- Reduce inventory while satisfying customers’ requirements through accurate inventory/usage data analysis and effective vendor stock solutions;
- Work in a safe manner by adhering to all Company Health and Safety policies and legislated regulations;
- Work with companies within the group to utilize existing vendor knowledge and supply chain strategy.

Job Description Summary:

- Directly reporting to the Managing Director
- Establishing and Monitoring Inventory Control
- Reports both formal and informal to Service Manager regarding daily business in the Sales region.
- Consults customers, suppliers and subcontractors
- Consults colleague Engineers, project managers, sales engineers.
- Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
- Control purchasing department budgets.
- Establishing foreign and domestic suppliers and maintain the good business relationship
- Implement purchasing contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
- Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
- Administer on-line purchasing systems, if needed
- Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales.
- Structuring product contracts
- Studying sales records and inventory levels
- Maintain records of all related documentation for the department
- Managing the preparation, follow-up and on the process of requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
- Management the overall situation of the store and monitoring the work of the storekeeper
- Ability to provide a recommendation for overall improvement of the department
- Appraising products and services
- Controlling departmental budgets
- Interviewing, hiring and overseeing staff

Requirements

- Must at least 5 years experiences in the same position
- Bachelor degree
- Fluent in English both oral and writing – Arabic would be a big advantage
- Possibilities of travelling
- Knowledge in local procurement software and related programs
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
