Procurement Officer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team in UAE-Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating with suppliers to acquire the best deals for our food and beverages/catering operations. The Procurement Officer will play a key role in ensuring that our company has a steady supply of high-quality ingredients and materials at the most competitive prices.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that are cost-effective and efficient.
- Identify and source reliable suppliers for food and beverages/catering materials and ingredients.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best possible deals.
- Evaluate supplier performance and quality of products to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Maintain and update procurement records and documentation.
- Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to forecast and plan for future procurement needs.
- Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and new product offerings.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field.
- Proven work experience as a Procurement Officer for a minimum of 2 years or in a similar role within the food and beverages/catering industry.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, best practices, and market research techniques.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and work well under pressure.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools, as well as proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of food safety and quality standards is a plus.
- Professional certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is desirable.
