Job description / Role
- Developing new formulations for Powder and Liquid products while re-engineering old and current formulas.
- Defining clear responsibilities, tasks, performance & potential evaluation measures (Key Performance Indicators)
- Support Legal & Sales in understanding the technical claims or performance mechanism for products and competition
- Feeding the Cost Chase Data Base with initiatives/ideas that would generate savings for the business
- Feeding the Customer Information Generation (CIG) program with ideas and experiences that support the generated insights
- Defining a program for analysis and evaluating the performance and claims of Henkel’s main competitors
- Confirming that all technical information related to product launches or re-launches are shared and communicated in a written format with all concerned departments
- Reviewing and following up on updates in collaboration with international R&D team in Henkel HQ (international tolerance specifications, Quality Control test methods)
- Involving Supply Chain and Process technology from the earliest phases of development to insure having right MIS (Manufacturing Instruction Sheet) for the new formulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Sciences (Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, Biology or Pharmaceuticals)
- Masters or PhD in related scientific fields is an advantage
- 7-10 years of work experience in R&D or related fields
- Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory. French is an advantage
- Solid experience in detergent and process technologies
- Managerial experience and leadership skill are mandatory
- Strong business and financial acumen is mandatory
- Strong personality and leadership skills, ability to adapt in multinational environment.
