Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the Bank’s overall strategy and goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies and marketing initiatives to grow portfolio and product profitability.
- Drive development and acquisition strategies of direct sales and branch and alternate channels for acquiring and cross-selling with the overall growth in revenue and profit.
- Support in implementing the overall retail lending strategy and annual plan to achieve targeted sales and revenue figures.
- Increase portfolio size and quality to focused product sales and retention leading to improved portfolio profitability and earnings.
- Interface with Credit, Sales, Ops, CCRD, and IT for product enhancements and training of frontline and Credit Policy on policy changes, documentation and planned campaigns.
- Interface with sales channels (DS, branches, Tele-Sales) to develop/ improve channels of sourcing and servicing customers.
- Timely and effective roll out of marketing communications and promotions.
- Enhance customer service through tracking sales and Credit performance vs. agreed standards.
- Qualitative and Quantitative analysis of portfolio and sales performance, to identify specific issues/ gaps, fix unprofitable products and develop strategies to capitalize on opportunities.
- Tracking and analyzing TAT’s in terms of acquiring, approvals and disbursals.
- Resolve issues with sales and credit underwriters to help in achieving sales goals.
- Ability to analyze drivers of product profitability and to model prospective profitability of new and enhanced offerings.
- Design and develop revenue models for campaigns, joint-promotions, co-branding, bundling and guidelines to IT on product related data-mining.
- Carrying out independent market intelligence function as an ongoing program throughout the year.
- Identifying problems with existing policy and propose solutions.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities consistent with the role as assigned by management.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 6 - 8years extensive experience in Product Management.

Other Skills Required for the Job:
- Strong understanding of profitability drivers and market development across the various product life cycle stages.
- High level of analytical skills and ability to understand scientific marketing techniques including surveying and statistical analysis in marketing program development.
- Ability to manage, motivate and develop product management team and lead cross functional project teams.
- Familiarity with bank’s operations, sales and support environments and a strong customer focus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- To have a strong personality and ability to impress.
- Patience and calmness when working under pressure.
