Production Manager

Job description / Role

Reporting direct to the General Manager, the role of Production Manager is primarily responsible for all workshop and production activity and will be directly responsible for the supervisory team on a 24 hour operation.

The role of Production Manager will ultimately be measured on:
- Production to schedule.
- Budget.
- Quality of product.
- Identification of modern processes, methodology, machinery etc. with a view to the continuous improvement of the facility and it production.
- Maintenance of plant, machinery, tools.
- Overall fiscal capability of the facility and process.

In addition certain duties of the Production Manager include but are not limited to:
- Interdepartmental coordination including design, estimation, planning, production.
- Assessing budget and time.
- Programming.
- Verifying shop drawings / design information.
- Raising and authorizing Purchase Requisitions.
- Programming production schedules.
- Conducting regular production meetings.
- Resolving technical obstacles.
- Allocation of works.
- Training.
- Management Reporting.
- Document Control.

Requirements

It is envisaged the successful applicant will have solid experience of the UAE Interior and Fit-Out Market including up to date knowledge of suppliers, vendors and other resources providers. In addition the successful applicant will have a minimum of 5 years in a Production Management role having progressed from a joinery and carpentry background. Furthermore, it is envisaged that due to the nature of this role a degree qualification is not a pre-requisite however the employer will be seeking further vocational qualifications that support this role.

Other key requisites of the role include but are not limited to:
- Health & Safety Aware.
- Strong inter-departmental coordination skills.
- Strong communication skills with Supervisors and Labour.
- IT capable with a view to reports and programming among other functions.
