Production Manager

Job description / Role

- Plans, implements and monitor the routine day to day activities to facilitate the smooth running in order to ensure the targets of quality and production are achieved. Man manages in accordance with the company policies.
- Manages staff to the level assigned by senior management. Exercises financial authority at the level assigned.
- Manages the day to day routine production and guides supervisors through the normal and smooth running of the production lines.
- Liaises with Sales and Product Development and Quality Control Departments for production planning and customers feedback.
- To make liaison with Maintenance department for maintenance, shut down and break down jobs and interdepartmental working co-operation.
- To plan and generate different reports regarding production, run-ability and efficiency.
- To assist Plant Manager in the preparation of budgeting requirements of plant.
- To analyze different reports for necessary and prompt actions in order to strictly adhere to quality and performance standards.
- To keep an eye and plan strategies for the improvement in consumables/raw materials consumption's and energy conservation's.
- To plan and execute different trials, if required, for the betterment of plant performance and product quality.
- To ensure that all work across the plant is being carried out according to the safety rules and regulations for both man and machine.
- To guide all working staff and ensure that whole plant area/machines are always kept at high standards of housekeeping.
- To look for the interests of working staff according to company's policy by the co-operation of Administration department and higher authorities.
- To co-ordinate with Quality Control department for the implementation of ISO systems and carry out necessary revisions to different procedures and responsibilities.
- To asses and manage the requirements for different training's to different categories of working staff.

Requirements

- A degree in production engineering or a similar qualification
- At least 8-10 years of experience in a production environment of which at least 4 should have been spent in a production environment.
- FMCG background desirable / Dairy
