Job description / Role
Production Management
• Manage the full production facility from production costs to quality control, planning, maintenance and productivity.
• The plant produces Insulated building material, you will manage a team in excess of 70.
• You will be responsible for all health, safety and standards compliance.
• You will oversee all day to day operations in the plant
• Coordination with the internal sales team throughout the production and delivery process to ensure that materials and products are delivered to Clients on spec, on budget and ahead of time.
• Estimations, product costings, budgeting and reporting.
• Set ambitious and clear product vision, in consultation with and communicate it effectively to stakeholders.
• Accountable for product specific KPIs once solution enters production and communicate regular tracking to stakeholders.
• Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for their team.
• Manage and motivate production line employees to achieve established goals, follow safety instructions, production volume, quality, and cost
• Continuous improvement in ramping up and automating productive processes, records, reporting, production scheduling and delivery.
• Supervision and coordination of all activities of the Production Supervisor, Team Leaders and Storekeeper.
• Ensure planned KPI's of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded.
• Responsible for production commitments against confirmed plan that meets forecasted targets and immediate commercial requirements.
• Team management, including training, performance management and staff planning/utilisation.
• Leading and developing the team of production personnel by instilling Kingspan core values at all times & implementation of policies and procedures.
Maintenance, Health & Safety and Quality Control
• Machinery/Equipment maintenance plan & development. Prioritization of workload and resource utilization for projects, support facilitated on- and off- equipment maintenance.
• Develop and implement quality and process control, including training and reporting to reduce operating problems and improve product quality.
• Develop and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures for work standardization, health and safety standard compliance in production hub and conduct trainings as required.
• LEADERSHIP: Together with the Operations Director, provide the production team with leadership and guidance to deliver results. The production Manager will inspire this team to deliver services that have the customer at the centre of all the decisions we make.
• PARTNERSHIP: Build significant, value-based relationships with key Internal customer contacts, that results in a partnership of collaboration and business growth for both product and our customers.
Requirements
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to communicate and present at Exec C-Level.
• Strong business acumen – entrepreneurial approach
• Strong networking and relationship building
• Ability to lead & influence a geographically dispersed team without direct reporting lines at times
• Understand the production industry & concepts of supply chain and planning.
• 10 or more years of experience in a professional Enterprise implementation experience, leadership, Program Management or production management experience
• Demonstrated strong competency of interpersonal skills, team leadership, business acumen, relationship building and conflict management
• Demonstrated expertise in large (multi-site or international) transformation projects
• Experience working Globally with delivery and customer teams is preferred
Job Requirements
• B-Tech (Mechanical Engineer) by education with a minimum 10+ years of production management experience within large conglomerates preferably in building material/ FMCG industries.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience managing the entire operations of the manufacturing setups which includes overseeing activities of all departments – Maintenance, Health & Safety and Quality Control.
• Ability to influence individuals and teams in order to achieve set or desired goals and objectives.
• Ability to make transformations leading to growth of the company.
