Production Manager - Joinery

We are currently seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee our joinery workshop operations in the UAE. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the UAE joinery industry and possess strong leadership and organizational skills. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the production process, ensuring efficient operations, and delivering high-quality joinery products.

Responsibilities:
* Oversee Workshop Operations: Manage and coordinate all aspects of the joinery workshop, including production planning, scheduling, material procurement, and resource allocation.
* Team Management: Supervise and motivate a team of joinery craftsmen, ensuring that they adhere to quality standards and meet production targets. Provide guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and productivity.
* Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all joinery products meet the required standards. Conduct regular inspections and checks to identify any defects or areas for improvement.
* Cost Management: Monitor and control production costs, optimize resource utilization, and identify opportunities for cost-saving measures without compromising on quality.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment for all workshop employees by enforcing safety regulations, conducting regular safety training, and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
* Production Planning: Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to develop production schedules and timelines. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
* Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, tools, and equipment in the workshop. Ensure their proper functioning to minimize downtime and production delays.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement measures to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality. Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to incorporate best practices into the production processes.

Requirements

* UAE Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar role WELL EQUIPED joinery industry.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of joinery production processes, materials, and woodworking techniques. Knowledge of relevant joinery software and CAD/CAM systems is advantageous.
* Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing a team of joinery craftsmen, providing guidance, and fostering a positive work environment. Ability to delegate tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance effectively.
* Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to resolve production-related issues promptly.
* Quality Focus: Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality joinery products and maintaining strict quality control standards.
* Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and suppliers. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
* Health and Safety Awareness: In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, procedures, and best practices within a workshop environment.
* Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
