Production Planner

Job description / Role

- Creates and maintains a valid Master Production Schedule for material and machine capacity by effectively balancing supply and demand for products.
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within sales, stores and production department according to production schedule.
- Check daily the status of Production plan and prioritize customer requirement in coordination with sales and customer service team
- Calculate and present Master production schedule and weekly schedule performance measures, submitting written explanation and corrective action for deviation.
- Conferring with production line supervisors to determine progress of work, projected completion dates and causes of production delays.
- Ensuring correct parameters are set for each manufactured and purchased item and reporting discrepancies to the appropriate department.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- 5 year experience in Production Planning and Control preferable in a printing/packaging industry.

Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of ERP and MRP systems
- Experience in using analytical spreadsheet tools as well as other MS Office applications.
