Production Supervisor - Machining

As Production Supervisor- Machining you will be responsible to set up operations of conventional and CNC lathes, drilling and grinding machine, horizontal and vertical machining centre along with static and dynamic balancing machines. Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required. Plan machining for sequence of operations and setup requirements. Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.

Requirements

- 7 + Year experience in machine shop
- Diploma or certificate in relevant field (Mechanical)
- Must be able to select suitable tools and inserts, cutters and should also be able to design and make the jigs, fixtures, soft jaws, mandrills or any other required tooling
- Ability to operate CNC and manual machine tools
- Must be able to communicate and have interpersonal skill with attention to detail
- Experience in handling with large, heavy parts as well as smaller components
- Ability to lead a team of machinist/workers
- Lean Six sigma
