Project Engineer

One of the largest local group in the Middle East is looking for a Project Engineer for its Real Estate business to be based at Head Office in Dubai.

The main purpose of the role is to carry out projects supervision during execution stage by controlling and insuring fulfillment within cost, time and scope limits.

Main Responsibilities:
* Participates in review the MEP/HVAC contractors list proposed by the consultant and reports to project manager.
* Contributes in reviewing and analyzing the tender drawings and document proposed by consultant and propose corrections or rectification, if required.
* Participates in reviewing the tender analysis produced by consultant and reports relevant comments to the project Manager.
* Takes off quantities from shop drawing and match it with site and BOQ.
* Participate in performing value engineering of the civil works in hand and propose cost effective alternative solutions, if requested.
* Prepare all MEP/HVAC as built drawings and documents with handover certificate for signature by concerned departments.
* Organize training to be given by concerned contractors and sub-contractors to concerned department staff.

Requirements

* Bachelor in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
* 2-5 years' experience as project engineer, ideally with a local UAE based construction contractor or developer.
* Prior experience in multi projects supervision for the multi-asset class real estate developments in the UAE.
* Good level of written and verbal English.
* Experience in hotel, mixed use, retail, commercial and residential construction.
* Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects
* Mature personality, highly flexible, team player, organised, makes suggestions to improve design and process, friendly and has a positive and constructive attitude.
* Very high attention to detail.
* Is able to work under pressure when called for by the nature of the business.
