Job description / Role
Our client, a highly respected independent renewable energy, private equity Investment Company has an exciting opportunity for an Associate to join their team in Dubai.
The role:
Act as Owner’s Engineer during Construction of Solar PV plants
Tasks include:
- Construction Management of 3-4 Solar PV plants
- Contract Management (PPA, EPC, O&M, TCA, TSA, Permits, etc)
- Monitoring and reporting of Construction
- Monitoring and reporting of H&S
- Environmental management, monitoring and reporting
- RfP management of EPC contracts, drafting and evaluation prior to construction
- Claims Management
- Payment and Invoices management
- Help create the Corporate Method Statements, Reporting Forms for construction, etc
- Undertake feasibility assessments and in-house Due Diligence analysis
- Liaison with lenders engineer, EPC PM, site management
- Help set up operational teams after CoD
- Consultant Management (using ad hoc consultants during construction)
Requirements
- BEng Mechanical or Electrical
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- Construction management experience minimum 5 years of Solar PV Plants
- Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of basic contracts such as PPA, LLA, EPC, O&M
- Software: PVSyst knowledge considered
- Ability to communicate with people of different backgrounds
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
