Job description / Role
• Preparing HSE programs and guiding the project managers on its full implementation as stipulated in HSE Manual / Procedures and company safety policy
• Assisting the project management in personnel placements through Job Safety Analysis
• Conducting training and awareness programs, toolbox talks, basic induction courses, emergency drills, effective communication programs, work permit inductions and defensive driving techniques
• Assisting the management in hazard analyses and their implementation
• Conducting safety audits and inspection at defined frequencies, preparing audit reports, following-up corrective actions and providing feed back to the management on all issues of concern
• Submitting safety performance sheets to clients
• Liaising with clients with regards to HSLP & E issues
• Assisting management in the proper conservation of the environment (e.g. waste disposal systems, proper storage of chemicals, correct refueling procedures, sampling of drinking water for chemical analysis, proper pest control systems)
• Controlling hygiene at job sites which includes personnel accommodation, mess halls and other facilities, recording non conformities and advising the concerned personnel of any corrective actions that need to be taken
Requirements
• Diploma in Industrial Safety or Diploma in Engineering with training sessions in Health, Safety and Environment and a minimum of 5 to 15 years relevant experience
• Must have IDipOsh Level 6 Certificate
• Must have OSHAD Certificate
• With at least 12 years of working experience in the HSE field in a construction company particularly for infrastructure works
