Job description / Role

A leading Business Group of Dubai is looking to hire a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER to be part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The position involves day-to-day management and site supervision of Refurbishment works for Shopping malls based in Dubai.

Objectives:
- Site supervision and delivery of all works on time.
- Management and site supervision of works, and responsible to deliver on budget and time according to expected standards and quality of the works.
- Ensure all Consultants and Contractors obtain their necessary Works Permits from various authorities.
- Manage the works to the approved project budget and scope.

Essential Functions:
- Coordination with MEP drawings and documents. The MEP services require full coordination with the MEP infrastructure services which must be planned, executed and managed from conception through to completion/handover.
- Review of programme of works and make sure the works are on schedule.
- Follow up on any delays.
- Attend regular meetings with all parties to follow up on any issues and arrange to issue minutes of meetings on time..
- Daily site inspections for follow up on all works, and ensure health & safety aspects are implemented.
- Maintain cost keys and price masters by updating information for all works.
- Responsible for any site violations, breach of security and safety rules.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities on approvals and submissions when necessary.
- Act as the Engineer on site for all works, by reviewing shop drawings and managing terms and conditions of the contract.
- Supervision of the construction of MEP works.

Requirements

- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
- 20+ years site Project Management and construction experience.
- Worked on fast track projects in UAE.

Skills required:
- Able to coordinate with all disciplines, MEP, Architectural and Structural.
- Conduct site inspections and point out any non-compliance matters.
- Understand and know how to manage and run a site construction, with all related matters including health & safety.
- Able to read and understand and follow up on Design & construction programme of works.
- Good written and communication skills.
- Good organisation skills to be able to manage multiple consultants and Contractors.
- Can handle work under pressure.
- Strong personality to manage consultants and contractors.
- Good understanding of all UAE rules and regulations, specially Dubai Municipality.
