Job description / Role
Main Purpose of the Job:
Lead a team of engineers, BIM technicians and CAD technicians during design and site supervision of health care projects in the unit. The role would require in depth knowledge in all MEP health care services and general understanding of structural and civil engineering.
Key responsibilities/Duties:
- Client and architect facing role
- Multi discipline team leader / project manager
- Project budgets and quality control
- Design coordination of all engineering services
- Professional leadership in health care engineering
- Regional practice leader for health care projects
- Business development and fee submissions
- Health care resources/staff and their skills
Requirements
- Degree (BEng/BSc) in Mechanical or Electrical engineering preferably Chartered
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in large hospital projects
- High level of technical expertise
- Excellent project management skills, particularly Change Management. Excellent client relations
- Strong team leading capability
- Good communications skills (verbal and vocal)
- Documented skills in leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Documented skills in leading multi-cultural teams
- Organised, proactive, team-playing, co-operative
- Ability to present design scheme and discuss design issues with clients, architects and other stakeholders overall all engineering disciplines
- Willing to travel to other countries from time to time
