Job description / Role
The Project Manager ensures that the project is completed on time, within budget and the projects objectives are met to a high standard of quality. Leads from the front and takes responsibility for the planning, management, coordination and financial control of a project.
• Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
• Directs technology projects by aligning organization goals, strategies, practices, and users
• Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center.
• Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
• Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
• Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
• Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Coordinating internal resources and vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Ensuring that all parties involved on the project are aligned and their deliverables are coordinated.
• Owns all business processes, procedures, systems, tools and templates that enable and govern effective and efficient execution of all CAPEX projects and business projects in the business. Ensures successful project execution through effective business processes for project delivery.
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress, either by milestone target or stated deliverables as per business case.
• Responsible for the successful delivery of allocated technology projects including planning, scheduling, design, construction, deployment, implementation, and review.
• Manage overall project expenditures, cash flow and schedule to meet business expectations.
• Ensures clear communication with all stakeholders in the organisation.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks and constantly reviews and maintains a risk register.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, accurate reporting and other administrative duties.
• Oversees the project to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used and the stakeholders involved are satisfied.
Requirements
• 5 - 10 year as a Project Manager, with demonstrable experience
• PMP certified
• Qualification of other governing body
• PRINCE2 certified desirable
• Bachelors in Engineering / ICT an advantage i.e. BEng, Meng
• Excellent time and resource management skills.
• Proficient in the use of IT applications – MS Office, SharePoint, project planning applications.
• Valid UAE driving licence – some projects are located across the UAE.
