Job description / Role
Our client , a top tier management consulting company , is seeking a strong candidate to fill the Knowledge Analyst role in Dubai. The focus of this role is on expert research, analysis, and knowledge management to support the company's work with Public Sector clients in the Middle East.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and some relevant work experience in the public sector or related areas, have strong analytical capabilities, and be passionate about working with governments.
Candidates should also have a relevant university degree with demonstrated high academic achievement. Candidates should also be able to read, speak and write Arabic.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partners with case teams to identify and address critical knowledge needs
- Develops, organizes and manages relevant knowledge for Middle East Public Sector team (incl. media screening and regular communication on topics of interest, development of "primers" for consulting teams on relevant topics, preparation of "fact pacts" on Governments and Public Sector organizations…)
- Provides customized knowledge for client work (cases and proposals), prepares accurate, well developed documents and charts
- Delivers original analysis and insights to case team, provides thought partnership
- Identifies right expert & connects him/her with requester
- Liaises with the company's internal research center to ensure that requests for expertise are addressed by the knowledge team and appropriate research is delivered
- With consultants, collects, synthesizes, analyzes case team learning & inputs into new knowledge products (vignettes, experience)
- Progressively, develops own expertise in a limited number of Public Sector specific topics / areas and become point of contact globally for those topics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Required; Master's Degree Preferred
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent (e.g. specialized academic research/internship)
- Understanding of Middle East Public Sector challenges and major transformation trends
- Understanding of roles of different entities and bodies/committees, especially in policy making, legal approval process, etc.
- Strong work ethic & service-mentality
- Ability to provide analytical advice and solid analytical skills
- Effective, fluent written & verbal communication in English and Arabic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple parallel tasks
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a matrix organization
- Strong interpersonal, credibility
- Collaborative, team player
- Ability to maintain discretion when needed
