Purchase Coordinator

Job description / Role

- Coordinating with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Communicating with vendors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing and terms of payment.
- Managing purchase orders and ensuring accuracy of information.
- Conducting market research to identify new suppliers and products.
- Maintaining accurate records of purchases and inventory levels.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure procurement needs are met.
- Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues that arise.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Good time management, prioritization and multitasking abilities
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word programs
- Excellent interpersonal and social skills

Requirements

Desired Candidate Profile

- Minimum 2-3 years work related experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and procedures.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field may be required.
