Job description / Role

Irwin & Dow are pleased to bring this unique opportunity to the market. On behalf of our UHNW client, we are seeking a Purser to oversee the administrative and financial management of the vessels he has moored globally. In particular, the role will report to the Captain of a highly prestigious vessel, which is currently undergoing a lengthy refit and is not sailing. Hence, no crew certifications are required for this role.

Key responsibilities of the role will include all administration, accounting, collection, and payment of onboard monies. Responsibility for all crew administration, on and off boarding and payroll, ensuring crew certifications are up to date, responsibility for all crew travel and managing customs, immigration, and port clearance requirements

Requirements

Fill financial oversight of the vessel, will include, interior purchasing and provisioning, budget preparation and control and yacht refit project management. It is essential therefore that candidates have a strong financial background and sound financial acumen, with strong fluency in MS Excel, especially formulas. A basic knowledge of maritime las is required and excellent organisational ability, with a forward-thinking approach. The ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines is vital.
