QA / QC Engineer

Job description / Role

Position Title: QA / QC Engineer
Employment Type: Contract (subject for renewal)
Salary: up to 10,000 AED depending on experience and qualifications plus accommodation, transport, food, and overtime pay
Job Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

About the Client:
The hiring company is an international marine contractor with 150 years of existence in the market focusing on dredging, land infrastructure, and offshore wind and oil and gas infrastructure projects

Job Role:
- Implement the QA/QC management system at site
- Coordinate with quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors coordinate all non-destructive testing on site
- Coordinate with the main contractor's quality representative on all quality matters
- Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors
- Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards
- Participate in the site internal and external site audits
- Coordinate all the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectors
- Ensure all quality control documentation is complied and completed for as-built hand over
- Control all nonconformance reports and undertake remedial action

Requirements

Requirements:
- Male, 45 years old and below
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or any relevant field; with professional certifications is a plus
- At least 5 years’ experience in similar field
- Must have license as Engineer
- Must have experience in manufacturers, developers, project managers and others within each sector of the wind industry
- Strong knowledge of standards or codes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Can join immediately or at least 1 month notice period
