Job description / Role
- Ensures high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate and reduce customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
- Works closely with the customers to ensure that quality of mock up products match the customer requirements and quality standards to minimize wastage during production stage.
- Carries out random inspection of quality during the process in line with operators and reports any mismatch /non conformance to the production manager for necessary action.
- Puts in place the procedures to make sure that the standards set by ISO 9000, BRC and HACCP are followed thoroughly.
- Formulates, documents and maintains quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
- Interact with vendors/suppliers to ensure quality of all purchased parts and raw materials.
- Design, develop and implement quality control training programs to communicate standards and polices to related employees within the organization.
- To establish and implement HSE procedures and ensure 100% adherence across all departments in compliance with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001. Develop and monitor all the required documentation, operational risk assessments, checks and reports for the same.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in printing technology or equivalent
- Certificate in Quality Control would be an advantage
- Minimum 3 - 5 years in a similar role within a flexible packaging industry in the Quality Supervisory role.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of local laws and regulations relating to food grade packaging.
- Knowledge in procedures and systems of ISO 9001, BRC and HASAP.
