Job description / Role
A leading organization from the banking sector based in UAE is looking to an experienced Recovery Manager to join their dynamic team of professionals within the Central Risk department. The desired candidates must have at least 8 years of experience in the banking industry in the UAE. The ideal candidate must have 3 years of strong exposure to corporate banking. The candidate must also have adequate knowledge of financial analysis, cash flow projection and debt restructuring. UAE Nationals are first priority for this role.
The primary responsibilities of this role include efficient and effective management of assigned wholesale banking non-performing loans. This role will also be responsible for successfully carrying out and concluding negotiations and restructuring of facilities in the most effective manner.
The duties of this role include:
- Providing solutions of non-performing assets risk rated 5 and below and problem for value maximization and recovery.
- Support the AVPNP FRR in developing, reviewing and implementing settlement proposals, evaluating restructuring based on cash flow projections, and financials, and submitting the recommendation to approving bodies.
- Work with WB units and SME Business to proactively manage clients risk rated 4 or below, to determine the likelihood of default and develop strategies and actions plans to address.
- Implementing appropriate approvals, preparation of credit proposals and classified credit reviews for all NPL.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Economics or related banking studies.
- Masters degree will be an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years banking experience.
- At least 3 years of strong corporate banking exposure.
- Sufficient working knowledge in financial analysis, cash flow projection and debt restructuring.
- Knowledgeable about financial restructuring, remedial account management, remedial exposure, and recoveries on delinquent accounts and remedial action required within a corporate banking environment.
