Job description / Role
The position of Commissioning Engineer is engaged in testing of Facilities, equipment and plants to make sure thy unction correctly and produce the expected results .In doing so he brings the product or system to a point at which it can be used most effectively .The commissioning Engineer therefore need to possess a though understanding of manufacturing and product use, as well as of customer expectation. The main responsibility of Commissioning Engineer is to embraces the installation and commissioning of all types of engineering projects.
The Refrigeration Commissioning Engineer should have experience in the wet and dry Mechanical equipment, process systems and associated utilities. He will need to ensure all documentation and tests packs are submitted and signed off. He will also need to be able to write Functional Acceptance Tests for equipment and systems including but not limited to : Cooling Towers , Chillers , Scrubbed Exhaust Systems , Boilers , process Vac , MAH and RAH units , Chiller Water System, etc.
Job Description Summary
- Directly reporting to Operation Department Manager
- Manage and coordinate in liaison with the project leads , all testing and commissioning works including interface with client and other contractors on site.
- Witness and verify Contractor Mechanical completion & pre-commissioning activities .
- Manage and coordinate the Mechanical commissioning team including the subcontractors and vendors where applicable.
- Provide technical support and guidance to sub- contractors on the work site to ensure Operational Acceptance Tests are carried out to the appropriate standards.
- Develop Commissioning Installation and pre-functional equipment checklist
- Create Functional Acceptance Test documents in line with Design Specification of the equipment.
- Carry out hands-on dynamic system commissioning.
- Participate and lead risk assessments for the commissioning team.
- Ensure that EHS procedures are properly implemented and monitored.
- Coordinate of commissioning process with owner, contractors and equipment supplier.
Requirements
- Must at least 5 years experiences in industrial Refrigeration (commissioning / Service).
- Bachelor degree in Refrigeration Technology and/or Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent Knowledge in different industrial refrigeration work scope with full understanding and implementation of Safety regulations.
- Excellent Knowledge of refrigeration products and overall system understanding.
- Fluent in English both oral and writing.
- Essential ability of traveling to projects.
- Knowledge and Analyses relevant to Technical Documents such as Electrical schemes, fluid schemes, piping diagrams, etc.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
