Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

An rare opportunity has arisen with a large MNC for their newly created Compliance function. The purpose of this position is to implement, administer and oversee an effective regional compliance framework ensuring that the company complies with regulatory and legal requirements and the organisation’s internal policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule regular meetings with leadership team in order to ensure a planned and systematic approach to identify, prioritise and assess appropriate compliance related activities.
- Work with Global HQ in the identification of compliance program initiatives.
- Plan and lead timely training and communication on regulatory compliance through HQ initiatives or revised/new legislation implemented by specific location government. Ensure this is being provided to all respective leaders and staff on a periodical basis
- Develop and report auditing and monitoring activities, findings, risk levels, recommendations, corrective actions and outcomes in line with timelines set by HQ
- Conduct investigation of reported/identified violation allegations
- Coordinate regulatory compliance, performance improvement and risk management internal audits
- Provide support to HQ, including but not limited to self-directed compliance activities, on-site training and audit
- Track corrective action plans for completion and conduct follow-up reviews with management as appropriate to promote successful completion and achieve compliance

Requirements

- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject
- CA/CPA/ACCA Qualification
- 7-10 years’ of Proven track record in a Compliance / Audit role in a MNC environment
- EPC or related industry experience is an advantage
- Excellent communication and commercial skills, be a team player with the ability to relate to colleagues at all levels and foster a team environment
- A self-starter who is organized and displays personal drive and be able to work on own initiative
- Attention to detail is critical
- Negotiation and Influencing skills along with the ability to work under pressure are a must to be a success in this role
- Patient and have the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels

Please note that due to the fact this is a Regional role, there will be 50% travel across the MENA region.
