Employment: Full Time

Our client is a large MNC with it's regional HQ based in Dubai

The role will be to lead and manage all activities of the Finance team overseeing all financial aspects of company strategy and being responsible for the flow of financial information to the Managing Director, the board and, where necessary, external parties such as auditors or financial institutions.

Report to and work closely with the Managing Director and partner with the senior leadership team and the board of directors to develop and implement strategies across the region. The FD will oversee all compliance and recognition for all service centres and third party related contracts.

The FD must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in a deadline-oriented workplace while managing all activities of the regional Finance Team.

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Overall control of everything related to the financial function of the business including: Cash Control and Risk Management, Accounting, Planning, Internal Control and the Management and Development of the Departments Personnel to meet company objectives
- Regulating, supervising and implementing accurate accounting
- Constantly monitoring the financial control systems in order to monitor the income generated by the company against the expenses
- Monitoring the level of adherence to a set budget
- Preparing accurate, timely and regular financial statements and preparing the same to the Board of Directors
- Ensuring the company complies with all audits, accounting and reporting requirements as set by the regulatory bodies in the markets which the business operates
- Preparing and presenting business plans, investment memoranda, feasibility studies, financial plans, annual budgets and other financial or business documents to the Board when required
- Alerting or warning the MD on financial irregularities, non-compliance, non-adherence and other financial concerns and ensuring that everything is done within budget
- Understanding the financial systems, operations, plans, accounting, audits, and budget of the company
- Collaborating and coordinating the activities with financial providers, contracted by the company, including: banks, auditors, consultants, suppliers and group companies
- Formulating financial targets and budgets in accordance with the strategy determined by the MD
- Managing company policies and procedures regarding but not limited to: capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity and acquisitions, as appropriate
- The Finance Director is responsible for the management of any financial risks that occur in the business and be responsible for planning finances for the company, keeping records on the same and ensuring the integrity of the financial reports. The FD is accountable for presenting reports to the companys higher management and will be required to critically analyse financial data and advise / recommend management on business decisions.

Requirements

- Must hold a Western European, US or Australasian passport for ease of travel (applicants who do not meet this criteria will not be contacted)
- Must be located in the GCC
- Hold a Bachelors degree or higher
- Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 15 years of experience (this is mandatory)
- Experience working at all levels of management to board level
- Must be a self-driven, results oriented, and have a high multi-task proficiency
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral/written communication skills
- Solid strategic thinking, data manipulation, and financial analytical skills
- Effective in managing conflict and working collaboratively in teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel, and Access
- Research orientated, having an intuitive grasp of business economics and commercial strategy
- Comfortable working independently in a fast paced environment
- Ability to lead and negotiate to achieve company objectives
- Broad systematic experience of financial reporting systems, data query and analysis tools
- Practical experience of Management Information Systems
- Must be willing to travel at short notice to areas outside Dubai that the business supports, this will include the Middle East, Asia and Asia Pacific
