Regional Financial Controller

Job description / Role

Currently working on behalf of an International Marine Business who are looking to appoint a new and experienced Financial Controller to their team.

The successful candidate will manage the Finance function across the two legal entities & branch offices within the IMEA region to ensure accurate management and financial accounts are produced consistently in line with company accounting policies.

You will work closely with the Regional Director to supervise individual office Accounting staff and General Managers and ensure accurate and timely reporting is achieved.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial and operational reports including P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow, capital expenditure analysis, cost calculations & analysis and budgets.
- Provide support to the local Accountants.
- Responsibility for the financial part of Annual Forecasting and Strategic Plan preparation.
- Ensure all Statutory Accounts & AGM preparations are completed in accordance with local and group requirements.
- Responsible for generating market & product segmentation reports to assist with management review of business performance.
- Ability to do ad hoc analysis to support the Regional Director and the management team
- Create and implement internal control policies and procedures for the legal entities
- Liaise with Auditors, Suppliers, regulatory agencies etc.

Requirements

- Degree qualified CA/CPA with at least 10 years of relevant professional and industry experience.
- Knowledge of forecasting, P&L’s etc.
- Possess effective leadership skills with the ability and willingness to build, develop and supervise entire Finance team within the organization.
- Excellent command in spoken and written English.
- Experienced user of MS Office software
- Hands on experience using / implementing Microsoft Dynamics AX is highly preferable.
- Experience of SAP BPC Group consolidation software an advantage
