Regional International Mobility Lead, Middle East, Africa & Pakistan

Acts as an advisor to the business/broader HR for all MENAP inbound international moves. Primary point of contact for senior Employees who are moving into MENAP. Matrix manages the International Mobility (“IM”) MENAP support team in the Shared Service Centre (SSC). Involved in key global IM projects and process improvements as part of the International Reward team.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Acts as a mobility advisor to the business through HR Business Partners (“HRBPs”) and Talent Acquisition (“TA”) specialists.
- Requires in depth knowledge of IM policies and processes as well as local regional knowledge.
- Builds relationships with local stakeholders and ensures awareness of mobility issues in the region.
- Provides guidance on appropriate mobility packages for potential moves into the region and identifies areas of flexibility and makes recommendations to HR/business accordingly.
- Primary point of contact for senior (Band 1 to Band 4) moves into the region. Responsible for ensuring these Employees understand the implications of their move and receive all related guidance, documentation and services.
- Builds relationships with senior Employees and communicates with them regularly.
- Provides a positive employee experience and controls risk and cost management.
- Partners with the IM SSC MENAP (in Chennai) to utilise support (e.g. initiating vendors, updating systems, providing documentation) and act as a point of oversight for junior Employee moves (Grade 5 and below) which the IM SSC team carry out.
- Responsible for delivering training and guidance to the SSC team accordingly.
- Partners with SSC /product teams (e.g. payroll, TA, AskHR, etc) to ensure a joined up approach in the delivery of end to end IM services.
- Acts as a first point of escalation for the IM SSC team, Employees, HR and the business.
- Provides feedback on policy, processes, vendors, IM SSC team, best practice, etc to the Head of International Reward with recommendations on improvement opportunities.
- Supports the Head of International Reward in any global IM projects, responsible for implementing change in the region and highlighting challenges.

Requirements

- Minimum 6 years experience in Human Resources/Mobility/Consultancy (required)
- A background of expatriate taxation or assignment policy is advantageous (desired)
- Bachelors degree with further professional qualification (e.g. accountancy, tax, legal)
- Solid global mobility experience in the specified region with thorough understanding of the assignment life cycle, developing relocation packages in accordance with standard practice and associated challenges (required)
- Sound operational, planning and process oriented skill (required)
- Ability to work autonomously but with excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management (required)
- Effective interpersonal skills, team player, counselling and conflict resolution skills (required)
- Ability to express ideas and communicate clearly in writing and verbally (required)
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience in implementation of new processes/policies and workflow management
- Solution orientated with strong delivery focus and a global mindset
- Comfortable operating at a fast pace, flexible and thinking outside the box
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (required)
