Job description / Role
Our client is a large multinational technology and digital company with a large headcount in the region, they have created a Regional Legal Counsel position who, with the support of global Legal, will head up the legal function in the MENA region.

Description
This is a hands on role with the individual managing all aspects of legal and supporting corporate initiatives as necessary including:
* Advising on Mergers & Acquisitions deals and managing the M&A strategy from a legal perspective
* Drafting, negotiating and reviewing a number of media/digital contracts, IP, data privacy policies, commercial licenses, proposals, supplier and client agreements
* Creating templates and standards and providing advice to the team, deliver training and risk management initiatives etc
* Ensure the cost-effective handling of litigation and disputes to protect the companies best interests
* Working closely with the Compliance Director to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Requirements
* 5-7 years experience in a broad range of industries. Ability to work independently and head up a regional legal function
* Fully fluent in Arabic (ability to draft in Arabic)
* Law / LLB qualified
