Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As a Registered Midwife, you will work under the supervision of a doctor, help a patient by guiding her through the pregnancy and birthing process.

You will be in charge but not limited to the following tasks:
- Competently administer direct quality patient care to Obstetric and Gynaecology patients.
- Provide an alternative approach to labor and delivery.
- The registered midwives are capable of administering care to a pregnant woman
- Efficiently assist the Physician in the Labour room with deliveries.
- Constantly follow hospital and Nursing policies in the daily delivery of patient care.
- Participate in Ward specific Quality initiatives and the effective implementation of Quality standards.
- They provides emotional support to the mother during delivery and coaches her through the process of delivering the baby
- Assists mothers in establishing an efficient breast feeding manner and readily provide education as required for appropriate new born care.
- Actively attend ward meetings and participate in improvement activities.

Requirements

- Must have a valid Registered Midwife License in UAE or should be exempted from the HAAD exam.
- Must have the required educational background + 2 years experience.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to efficiently work under pressure.
- Must be able to relate to people from different cultural backgrounds.
- Competent problem solving skills.
- Organized and methodical good general health and fitness
- Basic computer skills, levels in enquiry in forms
- Should provide emotional support during and after delivery of the baby
