REPORTS TO: Head of RSA

Main Purpose of Job:
To ensure compliance of products, labeling and product related communications, to advise business & technical in regional I&R projects . Be part of Issue Management "Problem solving Committee"

Major Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain solid regulatory knowledge related to his/her scope (categories), at relevant markets and at Codex/EU level.
- Ensure full compliance of recipes, products, labeling and any kind of product communication.
- Understand regulatory trends: develop awareness of these trends within Nestlé, identify opportunities and/or threats and take appropriate initiatives to address them.
- Take decisions and assume results within her/his field of competence with minimum guidance.
- Provide support to Businesses and work in close cooperation with all relevant units (e.g. Communication).
- Provide support to discussions with authorities at national, and regional level (e.g. GSO), when related to his/her business scope (Category); RSA BP may participate when required.
- Provide clear feedback on regulatory environment related to his/her business scope (Category) to guide I&R and develop Group’s positions / policies wherever necessary.
- Participate in issues/crisis prevention and management and solve problems independently according to briefed business needs.
- Communicate regulatory changes and drive implementation across stockholders in his/her field of competence. Propose & Implement action plans in response to regulatory changes in the Region.
- Keep track of upcoming changes in regulations (draft standards) across the region in his respective categories, and prepare the required action plan for each new regulation or standard affecting it.
- Contribute as key member to local and multimarket I&R projects. Provide support to I&R projects include registration files and required documents from suppliers and support RSA in OPCs to meet registration timeline.
- As a member of RSA team engage in RSA department activities in NCE, development projects, projects and activities to improve function performance and commitment to business support as required (e.g. Label-D).
- Work in close collaboration with all related internal and external stakeholders, RSA HO, RSA in the countries, CT-R, BUs, SC, Technical department, suppliers etc.
- Knowledge transfer to new RSA members during orientation program. Provide regulatory support to other technical units and to marketing as appropriate.

Requirements

- Fluency Arabic and English
- 2 years’ experience in a regulatory team (FMCG)
- Applied knowledge in at least one of the regulatory related topics such as food safety, consumer information, nutrition & health, additive...
- Demonstrated influencing skills in a previous job
- University Degree in Science or Law (e.g. Food Science/ Nutrition/Pharma/MD/ lawyer)
- Know and understand local food chain association
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
