Position Summary

The Regulatory Affairs Specialist assists to assure the compliance of all local and imported products with the regulations applied in his/her country for the current and new products. He / She follows up with local authorities and delivers necessary documentation when needed.

A day in the life of

- Develop and maintain solid regulatory knowledge related to his/her scope (categories), at relevant markets and at Codex/EU level.
- Ensure full compliance of recipes, products, labeling and any kind of product communication.
- Understand regulatory trends: develop awareness of these trends within Nestle, identify opportunities and/or threats and take appropriate initiatives to address them.
- Take decisions and assume results within her/his field of competence with minimum guidance.
- Provide support to Businesses and work in close cooperation with all relevant units (e.g. Communication).
- Provide support to discussions with authorities at national, and regional level (e.g. GSO), when related to his/her business scope (Category);
- Provide clear feedback on regulatory environment related to his/her business scope (Category) to guide Innovations & Renovations and develop Group's positions / policies wherever necessary.
- Communicate regulatory changes and drive implementation across stockholders in his/her field of competence. Propose & Implement action plans in response to regulatory changes in the Region.

Requirements

What Will Make You Successful?

- Bilingual English & Arabic is a must
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Regulatory Affairs environment in food and beverages industry
- Applied knowledge in at least one of the regulatory related topics such as: food safety, consumer information, nutrition & health, additives
- Demonstrated influencing skills in a previous job
- Strong communication and presentation skills
