Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose: To manage a portfolio of borrowing and non-borrowing relationships within the small-cap segment. To generate portfolio revenues in line with target and ensure acceptable portfolio quality. To maintain acceptable client satisfaction score and positive NPS. Adherence to bank’s credit and compliance policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- To acquire, manage and grow a portfolio of borrowing and non-borrowing relationships within the identified target market client base.
- To maximize revenues from portfolio of borrowing and non-borrowing relationships by offering full spectrum of small-cap products – cash management, treasury, trade and lending.
- Spread and analyze financial statements, preparation of credit application, documentation & post-sanction monitoring through periodic account review/renewal. Cross-sell of 4 key products within the portfolio to ensure well diversified revenues streams.
- To generate referrals for other parts of the Bank – notably Retail Bank (payroll accounts, cards etc.), Wealth Management and Corporate Bank.
- To ensure adherence of bank’s credit policy and ensure satisfactory account conduct of borrowing relationships. Early Warning process knowledge is critical for ensuring acceptable portfolio quality.
- To ensure adherence to banks’ KYC/AML policies. To raise any concerns in a timely manner.
- To ensure deferrals related to documentation and credit, temporary excesses are closed within agreed timeframes.
- To work closely with other support groups (Operations, Compliance, Legal, Treasury etc.) to ensure seamless client delivery which will translate to acceptable levels of client satisfaction.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities consistent with the role as assigned by management.

Requirements

- University degree / Higher Diploma (Nationals) or equivalent Qualification
- Banking Diploma preferred
- 6-12 years of work experience preferably in SME/Retail business

Other Skills Required for the Job:
- Knowledge on SME, Trade and Client Relationship.
- Strong Sales acumen and client focused
- Good skills in the assessment of credit risk, understanding of accounting, balance sheet and financial statements.
- Knowledge and experience of Banking /Financial Services.
