Job description / Role
The Release management officer is responsible for managing and improving the delivery of software releases to the company products and Customers. Also, ensure that release requests and operational issues are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
In addition, perform all tasks in a way that promotes the company as providing high quality software solutions and customer services. The Release Management Officer (RMO) is the Software Team’s designated single point of contact for the delivery of software releases.
The RMO should be able to work on all assigned tasks, seek knowledge and perform self improvements, able to solve problems, and have the positive team spirit. The RMO should have the ability and skills needed to coach and mentor junior staff members
Requirements
This position is for a person who has 5+ years of experience in software with 2+ years in managing software releases. His daily work consist of 50% technical and 50% administrative.
He will own the source control repository of software team and will own the agreed release management process. He will ensure the process is followed and proper approvals are obtained before software is released.
The salary package for this position is 15,000 - 20,000 AED based on experience. Good software development experience in .NET and SQL is a must.
