Job description / Role
VHR is currently looking for an experienced repairs manager to support the engineering division within our prestigious client's aviation operation situated in the UAE.
The Repairs Manager will effectively and efficiently manage the component repair cycle including management of Component Control Centre (CCC) in the handling of u/s components received for onward processing.
Responsibilities:
* Management of unserviceable components to be processed for internal and external repair,
* Manage repair order cycles to timely completion to pre-agreed/contracted turnaround times
* Seek and recommend cost improvement opportunities.
* Respond to operation requirements in terms of monitoring and expediting processes and repairs as necessary.
* Reporting on and Managing vendor performance for improvement to Supply chain targets.
* Report staff/process KPI performance data and manage to Supply Chain targets.
* Manage Warranty interface for timely processing of orders and claims and repair buying for vendor selection and timely order creation and shipping in accordance with company and airworthiness authority regulations.
* Manage handling of unserviceable components routed to CCC for onward processing in an efficient and effective manner to meet Supply Chain targets.
* Oversee interface with pool coordinating team to ensure contract compliance and report on same.
* Manage interface with in-house shops for optimum routing of u/s labels for in-house repairs.
* Work with QA to maintain supplier approval register for all aviation sub contract repairs.
* Manage for timely clearance of sub contract repair related stores receipt discrepancy reports to supply Chain targets.
* Ensure compliance to company health & safety standards /requirements.
* Identify and initiate internal/external training opportunities to enhance staff knowledge, career development and performance to the best industry standard.
* Any other duties as deemed appropriate by Supply Chain management
The successful candidate will be required to work a rotating shift pattern as per the business requirements.
Requirements
- 8 years aviation background, and a minimum of 6 years in Supply chain Management/Supervisory level.
- Repair Management, Warranty, Pool management, Human-Factors, Aircraft Type training an advantage.
