Reservation Agent

Job description / Role

The position is responsible in managing customer calls and inquiries pertaining to room reservations in a standardized and professional manner according to company policy and procedures, with a focus on revenue maximization and quality.

What you will be doing:

- Handles all reservation correspondence and inquiries quickly, efficiently and accurately
- Be flexible in sales technique through offering the right product to the right customer at the right time
- Ensures that all reservation details are accurately entered into the computer in a timely manner
- Ensures that contract rates and allotments in the computer are up-to-date and current
- Monitors and controls the hotel overbooking status ensuring it remains within the predetermined levels
- Maximises the room revenue of the hotel by up selling all hotel products and services
- Ensures all departmental reports are produced accurately and punctually and distributed to the relevant departments

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or equivalent combination of education.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity
- Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and relevant systems
