Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Act as Engineer’s Representative.
- Coordinate with Client and Contractor.
- Liaise with other Authorities.
- Advise on contractual and construction matters.
- Coordinate forward planning.
- Generally supervise, review, monitor and report on progress.
- Convene and chair regular site meetings.
- Coordinate and monitor activities of his team.
- Ensure prompt exchange of correspondence and approvals.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
- Issue site instructions.
- Give final approval to Works and arrange Handover.
- Supervise Contractor’s works to achieve construction in accordance with the Contract Documents.
- Review Contractor’s Submissions.
- Provide all necessary on-site direction.
- Supervise site inspection staff.
- Check measure of work done.
- Observe site safety practices.
- Advise on contractor’s resource allocation.
- Ensure correctness and completeness of ‘as-built’ drawings.
- Must comply with safety, health and risk management requirements.

Requirements

- 15 – 20 years experience in infrastructure work, Engineering degree, Dubai experience is plus.
- Should have 15-20 years of strong work experience with Roads & infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline from a recognized University/Institution.
- GCC experience will be an advantage preferably UAE experience with major infrastructure projects in Dubai.
- Must possess good leadership skills and ability to supervise and mentor a team independently.
- Should have good communication skills and reporting writing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a multi-cultural team.
- Arabic speaker is preferred, not compulsory.
