Job description / Role
Objectives
The Restaurant Operations Manager will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations including sales, customer service, quality control, staff development, and training among others. The chosen candidate will work closely with the owner and the managers in preparing, directing, and managing the two branches of the restaurant.
Main responsibilities
- Supervise the recruiting and training of restaurant staff, and cultivate an environment of openness and trust, with constant feedback and performance coaching
- Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures
- Maintain and help enforce the agreed brand standard for each unit by conducting and managing monthly audits
- Generate feasible initiatives to build sales, profitability and customer counts and consistently review products delivered to ensure KPIs are met
- Maintain and implement standards of quality in all food and beverage service operations, including planning menus, overseeing stock levels, ordering supplies, preparing staff rotas, and developing relationships with external suppliers
- Responsible for the physical/aesthetic maintenance of the restaurant
- Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are strictly filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations, especially when it comes to safety and hygiene
- Provide regular and accurate reports of operations to owner management, which includes allocating and verifying spending, as well as assisting in report analysis on stock and sales, and highlighting and acting on any miscalculations and anomalies
- Function as a department representative for special events, i.e. caterings

Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in management, operations, and leadership
- Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management
- Has the ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees
- Excellent communication skills.
- A driving license and experience in hospitality industry are a plus
