Employment: Full Time

The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Retail Buyer to join an established Retail Group located in the UAE.

The particular specialism for the buyer is in women shoes and accessories, which the candidate must be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within this field, and/or in the Retail industry.

You will be responsible for purchasing stock for multiple store locations across the UAE,and ideally should also have retail operations experience in particular, merchandising and store layout schemes; including the creation and execution of brand guidelines to maximize visual presentation of the product within the stores.

The role, as buyer is to have extensive knowledge of the existing and upcoming fashion market, and female shoe and accessory trends across the UAE.

You must be able to steer the brand and advise on the latest and upcoming season fashions and trends, as well as be able to demonstrate and consider the following factors:
- Customer demand, including price, quality and availability;
- Market trends;
- Store policy;
- Financial budgets.
- Analyse consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends;
- Regularly review performance indicators, such as sales and discount levels;
- Manage plans for stock levels across multiple stores;
- React to changes in demand and logistics;
- Meet suppliers and at times negotiate terms of the buying contract;
- Maintain relationships with suppliers
- Liaise with departments within the organisation
- Attending trade fairs, and travel to brand sites to select new collection
- Arrange and participate in promotional activities;
- Write reports and forecast sales levels;
- Present new ranges to General Manager and Chairman;
- Liaise with shop personnel to ensure supply meets demand;
- Obtain feedback from customers;
- Train and mentor staff.

Requirements

The candidate should be: enthusiastic, conscientious, professional, decisive, numerate, creative, imaginative, well motivated, versatile and flexible as it will be the responsibility of buyer to:

- Track trends in consumer consumption to determine which products should be sold
- Evaluate prior sales to establish future fulfillment needs
- Research suppliers and negotiate contracts for product fulfillment processing
- Place orders and ensure inventory is properly distributed
- Travelling to view the brand collection throughout the buying period.
- Identifying forthcoming trends.
- People management and time management.
- Exposure to the fashion buying environment.

You must have previous UAE experience within the retail industry, and capable to manage the buying for multiple stores, as well as be able to plan for the growth of the brand by adapting buying qualities in accordance to new stores which open across the annual buying season.
