Retail Director - Fashion

Job description / Role

- Holding full P&L accountability for a portfolio of brands across the retail and wholesale channels
- Defining the retail strategy for the brands in the region that is in line with the brands’ guidelines and objectives.
- Overseeing the key departments in the business such as buying & merchandising, business development and finance
- Setting the targets and budgets for the business and ensuring that the business is on track to achieving its objectives
- Ensuring the retail and wholesale networks are run according to corporate guidelines and in line with the brands’ image by conducting frequent market visits.
- Leading and developing a strong team across the various departments in the business

Requirements

- Extensive experience in fashion retail
- Experience of managing fashion brands in the Middle East is a must, particularly in the UAE
- A combination of a strategic and operational approach when running a fashion retail business
- Experience of overseeing different departments in a retail business
- A merchandising background is a must
- Track record in leading and successfully managing teams
