Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Aim high and be part of a leading sports retail brand in the GCC.

Purpose: To develop product buying plans to meet key business objectives and financial goals to ensure profitability while aligning customer purchasing trends with product offers in retail stores.

Key Responsibilities:
- Initiating the creation of ranges for targeted customer segments
- Working with the marketing and merchandising team to get a clear understanding of how best to take ranges to market
- Supporting the core trading teams through an energetic leadership style
- Ensuring that the ranges are aligned to existing customer segments
- Maintaining strong cross-functional relationships
- Producing in-depth reports based on strong data analysis

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Buying/ Merchandising/ Textile, Design, Art, Fashion
- Minimum 3 year experience as a buyer in retail industry preferably Sports Category.
- Ability to deal with complex data, analyze results and present solutions
- Equipped with strong commercial acumen & negotiation skills to maximize profitability for the category.
- Have managed and led team members including performance reviews and having development and training plans in place.
- Good knowledge of ERP (Buying and Merchandising Systems)
- Proficient in using MS Outlook and MS Excel.
