Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As the RTM Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the leadership, development, and adherence to safety strategies, plans, and programs within the Industrial and Road Safety domains of Warehouse, Distribution, Logistics, and Sales operations. Your responsibilities will encompass fostering a safety-centric culture, promoting employee commitment, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards, thereby contributing to the reputation, sustainability, and regulatory adherence of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
• Operational Health & Safety Leadership: Provide expert guidance on Operational Health & Safety, KORE, and Environmental/Regulatory Compliance for RTM & Warehouses.

• Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of legal, regulatory, and company requirements, and communicate pertinent changes to management and staff.
• Road Safety Strategy: Implement and advocate for the GCCB and TCCC Road Safety strategy, spearheading initiatives to reduce casualties.
• Team Management: Manage Road Safety requirements for field and depot associates, overseeing supervision, training, and motivation.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and ensure performance aligns with agreed targets and indicators, efficiently managing PPE and other resources.
• Data Analysis: Analyze casualty data and provide insights for casualty reduction policy, strategy, and initiatives.
• External Collaboration: Establish and maintain connections with external organizations and agencies, researching ways to minimize casualties.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure an integrated approach to casualty reduction.
• Safety Index Improvement: Lead efforts to enhance GCCB Fleet Safety Index and conduct warehouse safety assessments.
• KPI Monitoring: Monitor and report on RTM Safety KPIs, spearhead digital safety initiatives, and provide staff training on environmental and safety programs.

Requirements

Qualifications
• Education: Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene & Environmental Engineering or related.
• Certifications: Specialist/Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), NEBOSH, or IOSH. Training in Fire Fighting and Road Safety.
• Experience: At least 6-8 years of experience in environmental and safety management, especially in logistics, warehouse and route-to-market, preferably in the food and beverage industry.

Additional Requirements:
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• One-year experience as full-time CLI/RLI - industrial safety. Alternatively, NIITE PG in Industrial Safety is also acceptable.
